Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
We are not to lean on our own understanding.
We are to trust in the Lord.
Lean –
Define: to depend on someone or something for help and support
Synonym: Depend, be dependant, rely, count, bank, pin one’s faith.
Trust –
Define: firm belief in the reliability, truth or ability of someone or something
Synonym: Confidence, belief, faith, freedom from suspicion/doubt, sureness
